To Beard, or not to Beard

A funny thing seems to happen to a lot of young white guys after they come to Africa.  Stuff starts sprouting on their faces and, generally, its not removed.  This seems counter intuitive when you consider the hot weather, and sticky climate.  Yet, perhaps its the rugged, outback feeling, or perhaps its the "I no longer have to fit in society" feeling.  Whatever it may be, it seems very common to grow a beard out here and I don't seem to be the exception.  If anything, I have embraced the idea whole heartedly and the process hasn't been limited to my face.  My head, and other parts (formerly more clean cut) have all begun a complete "growing out".
